Summer is in full swing!
I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful dog days of summer! It has been absolutely beautiful here in the River City, with the exception of one week which just happened to be the week that my husband was home. He was less than impressed I might add. With the hot days arriving more and more families are heading out camping and going on vacations so for this very reason there will be no classes during the months of July and August. I am however going to be working on some very cool classes to get September off to an exciting start. I love love love summer, but I have to say that Fall is my most favorite season. To me Fall is a new beginning. It's when the kids have their new clothes and they start a new year of school, meaning that the craziness and laziness of summer are gone and we can get back into our routines. I thrive on routines! So be sure to enjoy the summer while it lasts!

CLASS INFORMATION FOR MAY
Classic cards class
COST $20.00
DATE: May 17th
TIME: 2:00pm – 4:30pm
LOCATION: 892 KALMAR RD. CAMPBELL RIVER
CLASS SIZE: 8
Who doesn’t love the look of appreciation on a recipients face when you give them a handcrafted card? This class will focus on all occasion cards. We will create 4 beautiful cards including Thank you, Congratulations, New Baby, and Happy Anniversary that you will be proud to give. In addition we will create a custom made box to hold our cards.
This class is limited to 8 participants so please register early to ensure your spot! All participants are required to bring the following items:
*Adhesive (preferably a tape runner of your choice – wet adhesives take too
long to dry and can contain to much moisture and warp the paper)
*Scissors
*Pencil
*Trimmer (a small one will work)
STAMP OF THE MONTH CLASS
COST $28.50
DATE: May 23rd
TIME: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
LOCATION: 892 KALMAR RD., CAMPBELL RIVER
CLASS SIZE: 8
This month’s Stamp of the Month class will have an outdoors theme and will feature the Beautiful Things stamp set. We will make one 12x12 layout as well as a Father’s day card and a masculine birthday card.
The cost of this class will be $28.50 (Class fee is based on the cost of the stamp set and no tax or shipping and handling fees are charged) and you get to keep the featured stamp set. Pre registration and payment is required for this class so that stamp sets can be ordered and received by the class date. To be sure that the stamps are delivered on time for the class I will be ordering on the 9th of May. You can still register after this day but your stamp set will not be available on class day and will be delivered when it arrives. There are only 8 spots per class so be sure to sign up early!
Please bring the following supplies with you to class: Scissors, adhesive, trimmer, black pen, acrylic blocks if you have them.
***please note that because stamp sets have to be ordered in advance there are no refunds on class fees. If you are unable to attend the class you will receive a class kit with detailed instructions and your stamp set***

These baby cards are adorable! The first one is perfect for sending out to family and friends to announce the arrival of your new baby. The second card with it's super cute baby giraffe is perfect for sending congratulations to friends and family who are celebrating the birth of their new bundle of joy. The baby giraffe cards sell for $2.75 each and the welcome our new baby cards sell for 6/ $15.00. Hello out there in Blog World
Hello, hello, hello! Wow I have been so incredibly busy and there is just no end in sight. The classic card class was fantastic, we all had a great time. I will post photos of our project in the morning. We also had a blast at the Stamp of the Month class on the 25th. It's great to hear people say that they love the projects and that they have stepped outside of their normal scrapbook page box, and love the techniques they've learned. It's why I do what I do!
In addition to the two classes that I taught in April I have been mass producing cards for sale, I will post a couple of them in the morning with the other photos. If you are interested in purchasing cards please just send me an email at dhayward_scrap_designs@msn.com.
And when doesn't family life just get in the way of getting creative? The kids have sports, right now it's basketball and baseball, as well as a job for the older one. My husband is working out of town so when he comes home there is so much to do it's like a whirlwind has come through our house. But, all of these activities do provide some great photo opportunities for that time when family leaves you in your quiet scrapbooking space.
New classes are coming up and I will post all of the information and what the projects will be in the morning when I've had a chance to confirm my dates. These are going to be great classes so be sure to sign up early so you aren't disappointed!

These cards will focus on the following techniques and products: stamping, heat embossing, chalking, brads, and eyelets.

COST $25.00
DATE: APRIL 25TH
TIME: 6:00pm – 9:00pm

CLASS SIZE: 8
MONTHLY FEATURES: Free Spirit stamp set & Emporium paper Kit
This class will focus on getting creative with one of CTMH’s amazing My Acrylix stamp sets and beautiful My Reflections Level 2 Paper Packet. Each class will consist of one 12x12 scrapbook layout and 2 cards using the featured stamps. This is a great way to build up your stamp inventory as well as get some great ideas on how to use them!
The cost of this monthly class will be $25.00 and you get to keep the featured stamp set. Pre registration and payment is required for this class so that stamp sets can be ordered and received before the class date. Stamp of the Month class will run on the last Saturday of each month (except October which will be the 24th and December which will be the 12th). Pre registration will close on the 10th day of each month (except December which will be the 28th of November). There will also be a monthly drawing for a free stamp set at each class! There are only 8 spots per class so be sure to sign up early!

MARCH CLASS
Good afternoon,
Wow! Let me tell you I feel fan-freaking-tastic today! The sun has been shining all day making it the perfect day to head out and walk the dog, and myself. I have been busy preparing for classes and making cards. I would post pictures but I’ve decided that I am going to submit them to some magazine callings and see what happens so that means they can’t previously have been published online. But I will tell you that they use these absolutely beautiful double sided papers from the CTMH Creative Basics Emporium package, along with the Vineyard Berry 1/4” grosgrain ribbon that you also get in the package. The Creative Basics packages are perfect for creating coordinating cards, or mass producing cards in bulk. These kits sell for $10.95 CAD plus S & H and taxes. You get 12 sheets of both papers (one paper has twilight on one side and sweet leaf on the other side and the other paper has a flower pattern on vineyard berry and multi flower print on the other side).
